Triple Speed
Fast 32-bit data transfers, at 33MHZ operation, moving data at nearly
90Mbps! With the CNF401 your notebook computer will move data three (3)
to four (4) times faster than notebooks running traditional 16 bit
PCMCIAs. At the same time, the reduced demands for power (3.3V) will
extend and improve your battery life. Less power also means less heat,
thereby enhancing your system’s reliability.
New Standard
This is the latest in new, high-performance, PC Card bus interface
standards for notebook computers. Although new in function and fact, the
basic design follows the card and socket services standards used by
notebook computers around the world. The bundled MS-DOS Card Enabling
Utility lets you easily use the CNF401 without having to worry about the
compatibility of Card and Socket Services software. The similar design
gives users cutting edge technology that can be used immediately in
notebook computers that support the CardBus standards and provide a Type
II or Type III slot.
Versatile
The card's main PCB board is housed in a convenient, stainless steel
frame. This makes the CNF401 more than ready for the rigors of daily
use. It's also easy to carry around. There is a 68-pin connector
allowing the CNF401 to be used with a notebook. An additional 15-pin
flat connector lets the media coupler attach with an RJ-45 connector.
The RJ-45 connector can then be used to convert the notebook computer
into an Ethernet network computer. There are even two (2) LEDs so users
can diagnose Link Activity, and 100Mbps transmissions. The CNF401 comes
with drivers supporting Windows 95/98/NT, Novell NetWare 2x,3x,4x, and a
wide range of other operating systems.
